Chaplain’s Corner: Living for Jesus
Galatians 6:9 says, “and let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time
we shall reap if we do not grow weary.” Revelation 19:8 tells us, “and it was
given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine
linen is the righteous acts of the saints,” Living for Jesus translates into
doing good, which are the righteous acts when Jesus directs the good deeds. This
is a part of the fruit bearing we do while here on planet earth. Imagine with me
for awhile, however, the thought that these good deeds of mercy flights Jesus
has called us to do will become part of our clothing in heaven! I believe others
will recognize us in heaven, in part, by the clothing we will be wearing.
Imagine the people you are touching today finding you in heaven because of your
clothing and thanking you for ministering to them. What a glorious time that
will be!
I say this to encourage you not to grow weary in well doing. It seems that
the call for flights keeps getting bigger, but that is because we serve a big
God! His name is Jesus. One thing I have learned over the years in serving Jesus
is that the longer I serve Him, the bigger He grows. He grows bigger in my
spirit when He stretches me and then gives me a way to meet the need He has
given me to accomplish. Let us look forward with anticipation for all He wants
to do through Pilots for Christ. He has called us to fly one mission at a time,
one day at a time. As we do that, we can be assured that He is the provider of
the time, the money and the talents to accomplish the flights He assigns us. He
is faithful so that we may be found faithful and filled with His awesome
presence that brings peace, joy and righteousness to our lives.
May Jesus bless each of you as you continue to serve Him.
