Transferring Julio Blanco to aircraft at

There are times when conducting flights for the Lord makes you feel like the
pony express riders of old. This past month has been one of those times. The
Virginia chapter joined with the Florida and North Carolina chapters to
transport Julio Blanco from St. Petersburg, Florida to Georgetown University
Hospital in Washington D.C. for radiation treatment for spinal cancer.
The Florida chapter picked up Julio Blanco and his wife Helen at Clearwater
Airport, St. Petersburg, Florida on February 2nd and flew them to
Sanford, North Carolina where the Carolina Chapter picked them up for the next
leg to Manassas Airport, Virginia where an ambulance waited to take them to the
hospital in Washington D.C. The plane arrived during the Virginia chapter’s
monthly meeting at the Manassas Airport making it possible for chapter members
to help in the patient’s transfer from the aircraft to the ambulance. Members
also prayed for Julio before his departure to the hospital.
Two weeks later, after Julio’s treatment, the Virginia chapter flew the
couple back to Sanford where another Florida aircraft met them to continue the
flight back to their home in St. Petersburg.
The transfer at Sanford went like clockwork. When the Virginia aircraft was 6
miles north of Sanford for landing, the Florida plane entered traffic for
landing. The patient was transported to the Florida plane in about fifteen
minute’s time. The Lord arranges all things well!
