Beyond the Monkey Paw by Harold Amstutz, retired Methodist missionary (and PCI Member), chronicles his call to become a missionary and the 34 years he and his wife Elsie spent serving with the Wings of the Morning flight ministry in Congo/Zaire. It is a detailed account of how missionary pilots fly by the seat of their pants without charts, navigational aids or weather information plus maintain their aircraft on their own. There are exciting adventures to include hunkering down in their home for eight days while a war raged around them. The evidence of God's hand is upon all of their undertakings.
