PCI 2001 Conference News Flash

The Florida Chapter is pleased to host the annual Pilots for Christ Conference which will be held September 14-16 , 2001.  This years festivities hopefully will be one that includes our sunny weather, beaches, and of course the spirit of fellowship and unity.  The conference will be held at the First Baptist Church in Cocoa Beach and appropriate beachside facilities have been acquired to house participants.  Cocoa Beach, Florida is approximately fifty miles east of Orlando which offers many attractions such as Universal Studios, MGM Studios, Walt Disney World, Epcot, Sea World and the famous International Drive.

Cape Canaveral is the home from which NASA launches their space shuttles and space center tours will be available. Wives are planning shopping trips and excursions for the women as part of the weekend's events.

Congressman Dave Weldon will be one of the guest speakers at our conference and will  speak on President Bush's new initiatives and faith ministries.  Likewise, Dr. Tony Fadely, a long term missionary to Africa, has an interesting story of "being sent back to the United States as a missionary" because America needs missionaries more than Africa.  Marc Ivanchak, the head of World Evangelistic Gospel Outreach will talk on missionary opportunities in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.  The Reverend Ken Babington, keynote speaker, will speak on evangelism missions in the world.  Numerous seminars will be offered in the area of acquiring airplanes for chapters to do missionary pilot training and how to acquire donated aircraft.
