Where Angels Fear To Tread

New chapter commissioned

Pilots for Christ now has a commissioned chapter in Tamilnadu, India. Christians are treated harshly in this land which is 85% Hindu, 11% Muslim and 2% Christian. It takes courage to identify yourself as a Christian there. The ten new members of PCI, under the leadership of Reverend S.G. Israel Caleb, felt called to form a chapter after the terrible earthquake that hit their homeland last year. Upon becoming our newest chapter, they had one request. "Please send us some Pilots for Christ caps so that when we evangelize, everyone will know that we are Christians". How many of us would publicly proclaim the Good News if it could mean our jobs, our home or our lives? Please pray for these warriors for our Lord.

PCI's Virginia chapter is sponsoring the India chapter and helped subsidize their registration fees. Jim McConnell, PCI president, led a commissioning service via video tape after which individual chapter members prayed for God's blessing to be on each new member of the India chapter. The video tape, along with the PCI chapter certificate, will be mailed to the new chapter as an affirmation of our support and prayers.

PCI International has also had an inquiry from Indonesia asking how to start a PCI chapter. Indonesia is a needy country and is 87% Muslim.
