Flights for Washington DC Police Boys and Girls Club
On November 13th, 1999, Virginia chapter members hosted a fly-day for members
of the Washington, DC Police Boys and Girls Club. PCI pilots shared what
aviation meant to them along with with what the Lord Jesus Christ has done in
their lives. Each club member and adult sponsor were given airplane rides.
The event was marked by the presentation of a Pilots for Christ pin to each
member of the visiting group.
After the flights, PCI members served up a picnic lunch with all the
trimmings and spent time with the children. PCI member Joyce McConnell shared
the Gospel message with the children before their departure.
Virginia PCI chapter members were blessed by the day and felt that seeds were
planted for Jesus as well as presenting the joys of aviation to young, receptive
minds.
